Neovascular Glaucoma as the Initial Presentation of Ocular Tuberculosis

Purpose: To report a case of ocular tuberculosis that first manifested as neovascular glaucoma.Case summary: A 76-year-old male visited our hospital complaining decreased visual acuity in the left eye. He had undergone treatment 1 year prior, and been cured. At time his visit, acuity, increased intraocular pressure, iris neovascularization were observed was diagnosed with glaucoma started on to lower pressure. we also noticed vitreous opacity both eyes. The patient did not attend scheduled follow-up but returned 2 months later retinae eyes become aggravated. Diagnostic vitrectomy performed eyes, multiple yellowish-white circular lesions throughout retinae. Systemic abnormalities suspected, thus additional tests performed. Bronchoalveolar lavage fluid analysis revealed recurrence pulmonary tuberculosis, recommenced. Temporary increases inflammation deterioration improved after addition systemic steroids. has under observation without for about year.Conclusions: Ocular can be expressed form glaucoma, so should suspected if there is history abnormal retinal findings.
